The purpose of this committee is to implement the goal of the Pastoral Plan for Prayer and Worship: Provide a variety of prayer and worship opportunities to lead everyone to Christ.
The members of the Prayer and Worship Committee shall include the Director of Music, the Sacristan, and the coordinators of Altar Servers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Ushers and Greeters, the chair of the Art and Church Beautification Committee, and Eucharistic Adoration.
“The Prayer and Worship Committee is meant to be an independent forum in which parishioners can discuss the liturgy without interference from the pastor! It should allow for evaluation of current liturgical practices and offer suggestions for improving our worship – not only in terms of what we do at Sunday Mass, but also what other forms of common prayer we should be providing.” ~ Father Tim Cusick, Pastor
