As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best spiritual education and formation for your child, we are moving to a Readiness Model for sacramental preparation. This new approach includes specific benchmarks that will help assess each child's readiness to receive the sacraments.

Here are some guidelines to understanding readiness:
Family and Child Readiness Is my family living out the faith?
We pray together as a family at home.
We are willing to commit to the continuing formation of our child(ren) in worship, formation, and service.
We discuss the faith at home.
We regularly attend Sunday Mass together as a family.
Is my child ready for Confirmation?
BAPTISM: Baptized in Roman Catholic Rite or non-Catholic Christian community. Certificate required. (If not, we can help!)
HAS RECEIVED FIRST RECONCILIATION AND EUCHARIST
AGE: Grade 8 and up (If 16 or older, let us know and we can help!)
INTEGRATED FAMILY FAITH LIFE: Family integrates faith and liturgical seasons into daily life and attends Sunday Mass regularly.
FAITH FORMATION: Has faith foundations received through active participation in parish formation sessions, specific Home School programs or Parish School the year prior and the current year of Sacrament preparation.
INTEREST: A sincere desire to receive the sacrament and an appreciation of the sacramental life.
