Holy Family Youth Discipleship will be launching a chapter of Be Love Revolution, a girls-specific ministry started by Renewal Ministries, starting this August 2022. Josie Delac, Coordinator of Youth Discipleship at Holy Family, shared the news this past Monday (you can find the video of her announcing it here).
Be Love Revolution (BLR) began in 2013 in Ann Arbor, Michigan with the intention of helping young women develop a personal relationship with Jesus and grow into mature disciples. Be Love Revolution operates in cooperation with Renewal Ministries, a Catholic ministry of evangelization and renewal throughout the world, to personally accompany young women on their journey of faith through one-on-one mentoring and discipleship. In an effort to build stronger and more impactful discipleship among young women BLR will host weekly events for girls in middle school and high school. A team of young adult women will be at all the events to walk with the girls and witness to what an active faith life looks like today.
"As women, our identities must be rooted in who we are as the Beloved if we are going to live in the fullness and freedom that God created us for," said Josie Delac. "I couldn't be more excited to start Be Love Revolution here at Holy Family because the whole purpose is to foster a community of women discipling women and growing together in our everyday lives. I have this sense that the Holy Spirit really wants to light a fire here in our young women at the parish and build up a community of strong, confident women of virtue."
The mission of Be Love Revolution Is three-fold:
Be His: Helping young women know the personal and transformative love of Jesus.
Be Free: Forming young women to live freely and confidently as daughters of God.
Be Love: Equipping and empowering young women to be God’s love in the world today.
To kick things off, Be Love Revolution will be hosting a Beloved Night just for mothers on Tuesday, August 16, from 6:30-8:30PM in the Parish Life Center on praying with your children. Chantelle Houdachek, Coordinator of Family Discipleship, will be speaking. All mothers, especially those with daughters are invited to attend and join the Revolution!!!
