Our Lady of La Leche Service Saturday

Holy Family Youth Discipleship took a group of high school youth to the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche on Saturday, October 22, to work on the property. The service day was part of the diocesan "Faith in Action" Service Day. 

The day began with a reading from Scripture on the parable of the weeds among the wheat. Then, the group got to meditate on the Word of God by putting it into action as they did some actual weeding around the rosary garden on the Shrine grounds! The Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche is a pilgrimage site for thousands who come to St. Augustine as it is the site of the first Mass in the United States and dedicated to Our Lady of La Leche.

Thanks to all who came out and participated to help beautify the Shrine for all of the pilgrims who visit the grounds! Our next Service Saturday will be Dec. 10 at Peace of Heart Farms. You can find pictures of the event below.
