Interested in becoming an usher?
We always need more ushers, women and men who faithfully attend Sunday mass.
Ushers are part of the Liturgical Ministry, just as Priests, Deacons, Eucharist Ministers, and Lectors. If you wish to be of more service to your parish, please consider becoming an usher.
The usher duties will take about 20 minutes more of your time before or after the end of mass. Each mass has its own usher team, with a Lead Usher who coordinates and provides training.
Usually after the mass begins, ushers can sit with their family. Only when the gifts are brought forward and during communion will usher service be needed. After mass, two ushers are required to transfer the offertory from the baskets to a bag which is sealed and placed in the safe.
If you like to be of service to the parish but your time is limited, ushering may be the perfect answer. If you have an interest, please feel free to call or text Lee Evans at 904-571-6808 for more details.
